EGYPTIAN GRAMMAR

A.H. Gardiner

Being an Introduction to the Study of Hieroglyphs. The third edition of the Grammar, easily the Egyptological best-seller, hardly needs a special introduction. The book combines a textbook of Middle Egyptian, containing vocabulary, texts for reading and translation exercises, with a most detailed and scholarly grammar book.

Sir A.H. Gardiner (18791963) was a distinguished Egyptologist and linguist. He edited the Theban Tomb series for the E.E.S. His books include The Royal Canon of Turin and Ramesside Administrative Documents.
