This book is a result of research undertaken for a doctoral dissertation submitted to Macquarie University in 1987.

 

Dr Ann McFarlane is Hon. Associate in Egyptology, Macquarie University, Sydney. She is the co-author (with N. Kanawati) Akhmim in the Old Kingdom Part I: Chronology and Administration (Sydney, 1992), and editor of BACE 1990­1999. She is also author of a new book (publication date November 2000) The Unis Cemetery at Saqqara Volume I: The Tomb of Irukaptah. She has been a participant in Australian excavations of Old Kingdom sites in Egypt for 20 years, currently at Saqqara.
