THE ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PYRAMID TEXTS

The Pyramid texts are of fundamental importance for the students of Egyptian religion. This translation is the most accessible, scholarly and complete available and will be useful to Egyptologists and those interested in religion and the occult.

R.O. Faulkner began his great work of translating the key religious texts of ancient Egypt with the Pyramid Texts which are also the earliest. He went on to translate the Book of the Dead and finally the much more extensive spells of the Coffin Texts. These three works which cover a period of around two thousand years, are the basis for understanding the religious thought of the ancient Egyptians.
