documents of various lengths. Its value is now generally recognised
and hardly any study of the Ramesside administrative system can
be undertaken without referrring to it. The volume is provided
with comprehensive indexes.
Sir A.H. Gardiner (18791963) was a distinguished Egyptologist and linguist. He edited the Theban Tomb series for the E.E.S. His books include Egyptian Grammar and The Royal Canon of Turin.
