The mastaba of Ankhmahor, a vizier of Teti (Dynasty 6) is among
the most important monuments at Saqqara. It has been published
earlier, but in an incomplete form. The present volume represents
a record of the chapels and burial chambers of Ankhmahor and his
son Ishfi, based on new photographs, architectural plans and facsimile
drawings of its scenes and inscriptions. This tomb has certainly
influenced others not only in the capital, but also in the provinces.
The text includes an analysis of the scenes and inscriptions and
a comparison with other contemporary monuments.
